Vans has been stepping it up lately—seen that new “Off The Wall” ad campaign? It’s pretty good, tugging at those heritage heartstrings plus alluding to the cool factor of ’60s skate culture, which people LOVE (see: the success of the Dogtown Zboys feature film with Heath Ledger).
The product is a lot better than in recent years, too. At least, on the women’s side of the website. A ton of new colors and fabrics, washes, prints, and styles ranging from distressed denim to Tommy Bahama-type florals that are actually not that cheesy.I’ve set my heart on… 5 pairs. Tie-dye, spangled stars, and leopards, oh my… poor wallet is gonna suffer.
